It’s almost an impossibility to get them all in the frame, but I especially love this one because it is spontaneous and organic, and seems so ‘them’.  It was also featured on one of the feeds I follow on instagram so I was pretty pleased 🙂226

I was gone during the days and most of the evenings for the freedom climb.  Now I am home again with these crazy kids that decide to swim in their clothes while we were out for a wander.  They are adaptable and enthusiastic that’s for sure!!225

Today was a big day for the freedom climb.  Lots of elevation gain and lots of distance.  Super troopers though.  We were into our high meadow campsite by about 6pm and some men of our church hiked in to cook and serve us dinner and get all of the tents set up.  Luxury!  I have never camped in the backcountry and had to do so little to help myself.  I bivvied out under the stars – it is a long time since I have done that.  I love being out here, and I am enjoying doing something outside of being Mum.221

I have the privilege of being a hiking guide for the Freedom Climb.  60 Women have come to Fernie to climb mountains to raise money to help women and children who are the victims of sex trafficking.  An awesome cause, and a very supportive bunch of ladies.  As group 4 and 5 approached the summit of Castle M0untain, there was much cheering, high fives and the pole arch of honour.220

Paint balls in a sling shot.  First at the plywood target, and then at a live target. This was the early mins with only one hit.  What a guy – there were probably about 20 people shooting him, and he got lots of big welts!!215
