She isn’t potty trained. Hats and undies just happen to be one of her many outfits each day.

This one has personality!! She keep on changing her clothes. They are always on back to front, inside down or inside out.
Ready to fly!And the crazy hair aftermath. And when she is crazy with daddy, that is even better 🙂
When all gets quiet, you go and see why. I found her behind the door in the big girls room, with their manicure set, inside out clothes, crazy hair, and odd socks 🙂
I really love this series of photo’s. I am so glad that I picked up my camera to photograph our ‘ordinary’.You can see her lip starting to quiver here. Every day is the same when we drop the kids off at the bus…..Aww! She is soooo sad to say goodbye to them! And she hasn’t even been able to contain herself by the time we get back home 🙁
I know. I am an annoying mother that is always taking photo’s…..
We are playing with Dramatic light on my photography course this week. Here are a few of my favourites.
It seems to be our tradition to have a fire and food. The kids have spent a lot of time together in the backyard playing all sorts of things. Now tonight is our last evening together. Last time in who knows how long before we see each other again……
We have gotten to hang out for a month with these guys. I don’t know that these photo’s in any way capture what has been going on, but here are a random smattering…..
LOTS of time on the tramp.A trip to the corn maze near Lethbridge…..The big girls deciding they want to make some money so went around the neighbourhood offering to rake leaves. They made close to $30! This is them disposing of the leaves when they were done. Our kids were still in school. So the Mc cousin’s were home without them most of the day, except for Chelise of course.Chelise wanted to help peel the apples. Ryan so sweetly helped her, and they were both very co-operative for my pictures 🙂I have been taking a ton of pictures because I am currently on a photography workshop. I had been walking around with my phone testing out my compositions using an app on the phone, and Chelise is copying using Ryan for her model.
What a blessing for us all to be with family who have travelled so far from New Zealand.
I remember each of the other kids first day at school vividly. Each of them was quite traumatic. Today felt different somehow. Maybe because there are 3 other big siblings ahead of him. Or maybe because he is by far our oldest child to go to school at 5 3/4 yrs old. Or maybe because today was so short and we were required to stay with him for the hour he was there. Whatever the reason, neither him nor I felt traumatized. Phew!!
Waiting with the crowds for his name to be called, and find out who his teacher is.A quick glance back at Dad, as he goes to join his class mates.Sitting on the mat, raising those hands high…..A little activity and a yummy snack provided by the teacher, and day one is a wrap!
Another year starts tomorrow, this time with 4 kids! I wanted to take some photo’s of them. I didn’t really have any plan or expectation of what exactly I wanted, I just let them do ‘something’.
A few individuals…..
11 years old and grade 6.
9 years old (nearly 10) and grade 5.
7 years old and grade 3
And this little monkey! 5 years old and going into Kindergarten. He was too sweet, so I had to put 9 pictures in of him. I will miss him at home 🙁
In case you were wondering his ‘I love you’ fingers are taped to try and get him to stop SUCKING them!!!
And then they got totally goofy….
And even decided they needed to dance! They are that happy about school. Well maybe not that happy!
